Lesson Steps:

1. Introduction (5 minutes):

• Greet the children and introduce the topic by asking: “Who has seen a tiny insect called an ant?”
• Show pictures of ants and ask the children to describe what they see. Encourage simple answers like “small,” “black,” or “legs.”
• Mention that ants are hardworking insects that live together in groups, just like we work together in our classroom.

2. Storytime (5-10 minutes):

• Read a short, simple story about ants (either from a book or create your own). Make it engaging by using sound effects or asking questions as you read, like “What is the ant doing here?”
• Emphasise how ants work together to find food and build their home.

3. Activity: Ant Movement Game (5-10 minutes):

• Explain to the children that ants love to walk in lines. Have them form a “line of ants” and walk around the room, pretending to carry food back to the ant hill. Use toy food or soft objects to make it fun.
• Let each child take turns being the “leader ant” while everyone follows. This will help develop gross motor skills and teamwork.

• Congratulate them on working together just like ants!
