Focusing sexuality education solely on adolescent girls can be detrimental to society for two key reasons:

1. Neglecting Boys’ Responsibility: If boys are left out of sexuality education, they may not fully understand their role and responsibilities in sexual relationships. This can lead to ongoing issues like gender inequality, unsafe sexual practices, and a lack of respect for consent. 2. Reinforcing Gender Stereotypes: By focusing only on girls, society reinforces harmful stereotypes that put the burden of sexual behaviour and consequences solely on them. This approach creates the misconception that girls must always be responsible, while boys are free from accountability. For instance, if girls are solely taught about pregnancy prevention, it implies that they alone should manage contraception, which is both unfair and ineffective in promoting equal responsibility in relationships.

Comprehensive sexuality education for both boys and girls ensures shared responsibility, mutual respect, and healthier relationships in society.
